Did you know Tucson was becoming a worldwide jazz city destination? My name is Tom Heath. I am the Vice President, Senior Loan Officer, and I lead the Mortgage Guidance Group here at Nova Home Loans. I wanted to make you aware of a great community event that’s been happening for several years. It takes place in downtown Tucson. It’s our annual Tucson Jazz Festival.
This has become very popular and we see people coming in from all over the world to support this festival. We have local and national acts that are performing. On Monday, January 15th, there’s going to be a free concert, as there is every year on Martin Luther King Day. It’s from 11 to 7. It’s going to be held at the New Corbett’s, which is a fun new venue in downtown. It’s on 7th Street. It’s open. It’s free. There’s two stages. It’s available for all ages. I hope you have a chance to get down, experience the music, and maybe explore downtown a little bit.
The Jazz Festival will run today, the 12th through the 20th, with all kinds of venues. At the heart of a lot of this is the Century Room, which is our newest jazz bar, and that is creating a lot of buzz across the country.
