Foreclosure Prevention

The Arizona Foreclosure Prevention Task Force

A non-profit volunteer organization working to reduce the number of foreclosures in Arizona and the impact of foreclosure on families and communities. They created a workbook as a valuable tool for homeowners facing financial distress.  The workbook was last updated in June 2011 and provides guidance into options, terminology, and the process.  Unfortunately, some have seen this time as an opportunity and offer fraudlent services.  This workbook should raise awareness about these “rescue” scams and how to not become a victim.

KnowYourOptions.com

On August 3, 2010, Fannie Mae launched KnowYourOptions.com™, a new consumer-friendly bilingual Web site designed to educate distressed homeowners about options that may be available to them. While the site is created to help homeowners, there are benefits for mortgage servicers as well as housing counselors too – not only will the site be able to reach more borrowers, but it can help reinforce your existing efforts to help homeowners avoid foreclosure.
